Burriss Amps Introduces the Dirty Red
Burriss Amps and Effects Pedals, maker of the Royal Bluesman introduces the newest member in their series of small, powerful and affordable, hand-made tube amplifiers, the Dirty Red.
Known for his line of full size tube amps – Switch Master, Shadow, dB Special and the versatile Royal Bluesman head—builder Bob Burriss confirms the statement that dynamite does come in small packages with the small and nasty Dirty Red tube head.
“For the rock and roller, Dirty Red delivers the intensity, the tone and the gain their looking for in a cool looking package they can afford and can easily carry from gig to gig. You can crank Dirty Red up for a show or dial it down to get that nasty sound even if you’re practicing in an apartment,” says Mr. Burriss.
With a footprint of only 11.5” x 6.75” x 7.13” and weighing in at 12.7 lbs., the Class A Dirty Red is a medium to high gain rock and roll machine featuring an EH - EZ81 Rectifier, two J/J - EL84’s and three Mullard 12AX7’s to give you everything you want and more. With full EQ, a foot switchable effects loop (pedal optional), extremely flexible Master Volume, multi-tap outputs at 4, 8 & 16 ohms and a universal power supply, Dirty Red has it all in a small, US built, hand-made package at an exceptional price.
The optional Power Loop foot-pedal for Dirty Red provides control over the effects loop and, like the VIB+ pedal with the Royal Bluesman Amp, it provides front of stage power to drive multiple pedals at once.
Burriss is pleased to have Songwriters and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Sebastian, Guitar Virtuoso Johnny A, and Rockabilly legend Danny B. Harvey on their list of happy Burriss players. Also playing through Burriss gear is Brad Rice, Guitarist for Son Volt, Tift Merrit, Ryan Adams and recent touring guitarist for Multi-Platinum and Grammy Award winning artist Keith Urban’s worldwide tour, and Alligator Recording Artists Brophy Dale and Buzz Campbell just off tour with Lee Rocker.

Discover how you can play an active role in shaping the future by what you do within your organization and network with other health care leaders who are dealing with similar issues. The pace of change in health care has increased exponentially since our inaugural health care conference. And by the time the second annual conference convenes, Congress will have passed its bill for health care reform. We’ll have officially begun a new journey.Fortunately, visionary leaders have been helping to shape this next phase of health care. Investments in innovation and quality have led to some very effective – and often surprising – ways to cut costs, reduce errors, increase service and satisfaction, and improve access and outcomes. Bold initiatives such as these should be shared – especially during this transformative time, when we are all looking for fresh models of excellence. The University of St. Thomas and its partners invite you to participate in an inspiring day of learning, sharing and strategizing about how we can leverage innovation and quality to thrive in the new health care environment.
